CWEL is a project previously funded by a grant through the Children’s Bureau, an office of the Administration for Children & Families within the United States Department of Health & Human Services. In December of 2025, this grant was canceled due to our steadfast commitment to recognizing the diverse needs of our child welfare workforce and serving them equitably. CWEL’s parent organization, Families Rising, continues to operate the center and is pursuing ways to stabilize our programs in this transition.
